

The Blueprint for Black Liberation is a collaborative project of the Black Roots Alliance, Gorman House Publishing, Gumbo Media, Chicago Community Activism Group, and Custom Resources.
Purpose

To share information that will help people build and expand their analysis of timely public policy and social issues within an Afro-centric/racial equity lens.

To highlight personal impact stories of students, front-line organizers, and others directly-impacted community members, uplifting their perspectives and experiences related to each pillar of Black liberation. (Education, Democracy, Economics, Security/Safety, Health/Wellness)

To highlight dynamic community organizing and racial equity public policy work happening in Chicago.

To inspire civic engagement in Black communities.
Outcomes

The Blueprint for Black Liberation will be used as a tool for voter education, community outreach, network orientation, and an introduction to organizing with a Black liberation lens.

The Blueprint for Black Liberation will build cross-sector relationships with advocates and allies who work in issue areas related to each pillar of liberation
